My name is Dawna Hankins. I am originally from Ohio, and I have lived in Pennsylvania for over 15 years. I am a wife, and a mother to three great kids and two fur babies. I am excited to share Well-GLO with you and my passion for helping people put their wellness first. My bachelor's degree is in Human Resources Management, and I am a Certified Diversity Professional. My work in Human Resources for the past 20 years has allowed me to coach individuals and support wellness efforts in various settings. In addition, I have a certificate in Whole Food Plant-Based Nutrition (WFPB) through e-Cornell which expanded my knowledge to help others achieve their goals. I am also certified as a Health and Well-being Coach through Wellcoaches.
I personally believe everyone can benefit from wellness coaching and I love seeing confidence grow and impactful change happen in the clients I work with. The benefits of coaching are well researched, and you can choose any area of focus. My personal wellness vision includes plant-based nutrition. For me, changing the path for my family's health is important. Heart disease is prominent in my family and one goal I have is to inform my family of options they have to stay healthy. In 2011, I made changes to my diet that allowed me to lower my cholesterol and triglycerides in a matter of months. I became plant-based in 2019. It was and is a journey. Self-care and food choice are truly essential to how we feel and who we can become. As a breast cancer survivor, stress reduction and exercise are also important to me.

Health starts with self-care. How we live impacts our health, relationships, and ability to move forward with goals. Self-care can include what we eat, rest, exercise, who we spend time with, where we work, removing clutter, and how to add joy to our everyday life. We must spend time understanding our habits' impact on the choices we make. Unfortunately, we do not always take the time to focus on ourselves. Wellness Coaching supports you by working toward goals to help you choose Good Life Options (GLO) that over time create healthy behavior change. Focus on GLO, put yourself first, and start today.
